Just when I thought Jaden Smith couldn’t get any more out of touch with reality or the way non-famous people live, he pulls a series of ridiculous tweets about education out of his hat to prove me wrong. 15-year-old Jaden took to Twitter a few days ago to declare, in short, that school brainwashes young people, that the movie Baby Geniuses was pretty much nonfiction, and that everyone should just go ahead and drop out of school. Take a look at the tweets in question below, and then maybe somebody can explain to me why the first letter of every word is capitalized. Is he brainstorming ideas for his next song title? If he thinks that’s the proper way to construct a sentence he should probably give that school thing a second chance.
According to Rader Online, Jaden was personally educated at New Village Leadership Academy, a school his parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith founded in 2008 and which featured a curriculum influenced by Scientology. Since the school shut down earlier this year, Jaden and his hair-whipping sister Willow have been home-schooled. How lovely that he’s able to be home-schooled thanks to his parents’ rich-and-famous status. And how sweet of him to just assume everyone else in the world has wealthy parents and is able to ride the Coattail Train to Nepotism City every day of the week.
It’s such a logical and down-to-earth assumption to make, isn’t it? Especially since he likely has so many impressionable young people following him on Twitter. And it isn’t at all ironic that he thinks school brainwashes people even though his parents founded a school of their own using a notoriously brainwashy belief system as part of the curriculum. All of this makes so much sense. I can’t see two feet in front of me through the thick cloud of sense and logic emanating from Jaden Smith’s Twitter account right now. Why, this makes even more sense than him dating a Kardashian or wanting to be emancipated from his parents. And those things made a lot of sense already, so this is pretty amazing. Where do I send my letter of congratulations to Will and Jada for being such responsible parents?
