Despite the fact that I wasn’t mentally prepared to listen to Britney Spears‘ new song, “Work B**tch” until tomorrow, I’m now currently blasting it in my bedroom. Like every other highly anticipated song in recent history, someone leaked this one early. Which forced BritBrit to officially release it — in a more finished form — this afternoon.
Woke up today and saw that a low quality version of Work Bitch had leaked

While it’s not what one would call “pleasing to the ears,” it’s not the worst human/computer collaboration I’ve ever heard. In fact I fear that it’s the kind of pop song that ends up growing on me after I’ve heard it 1400 times. The kind that I can’t help dancing to when I’m out at night — and alone in my bedroom. If nothing else, it’s literal lyrics will certainly provide some quality motivation when you’re trying to get some work done. In that way, it’s similar how her song “Email My Heart” motivated us all to share our deepest emotions via electronic communication. Say what you want about Britney, but you’ll never hear me say that she’s anything but a genius when it comes to crafting songs with memorable titles and instructive lyrics.
