Kristen Stewart Doesn’t Bother With Acting, Just Trying Not To Get ‘Squashed’ Out There

Kristen Stewart arriving at the Los Angeles airport August 2013I’m just thinking back over the canon of Kristen Stewart quotes that I’m aware of, and now that I really put my mind to it, I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard her even imply that she might possibly maybe enjoy acting. She doesn’t enjoy being famous, she doesn’t enjoy having her picture taken, or dressing up, or getting visible tattoos, or having public relationships, or dancing, or smiling, or having her privacy invaded…why does this girl keep taking movie roles? I’m not even copping an attitude here, I’m just trying to understand why someone would possibly continue to do something they seem to dislike so much.

I mean, just look at this new quote that Kristen gave in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily (which is apparently still a magazine) about the movie she’s filming in Germany right now, Sils Maria:

“It takes two very particular people to have that relationship be functional—one that services the other—because Juliette Binoche is playing the actress that I assist, and she is one of the most powerful women I think I’ve ever seen in film. I’m going to try desperately to not be squashed by a woman like that, and it’s not going to be an easy thing.”

I feel like most actors probably would’ve thrown in some indicator that they were invested and interested in the project, right? Maybe an ‘I’m looking forward to the challenge’ or ‘I’m so lucky to work with her’ or something. Not that she should adjust the way that she is, I just have nooooo idea why she continues to agree to these projects when she voices absolutely no enthusiasm about them.

Just look at her word choice ‘try desperately’…’not going to be an easy thing’. Is she starting a movie or beginning an imprisonment in a coal mine? I don’t know about you, but I think I’d start to dread my workday too, if I spent it with the sole goal of avoiding a brutal squashing. Even if it was on a film set.

This article is ridiculous, she has said several times that she loves acting. She was praising Juliette Binoche, she is a big fan of hers. Dude, do your homework before writing, she has smiled several times also, not to mention joking around in interviews, laughing, talked about how lucky and grateful she is for everything, how much she likes her fans. The only thing she doesn’t like about being famous is the not privacy stuff. She never tried to be famous, she wanted to be an indie actress, which she was for a lot of years cause she could do what she loves and keep her privacy, Twilight was supossed to be just another indie movie, but it became a phenomenon which nobody predicted, she has every right to complain about the privacy stuff.

And for the comment somewhere below, she has actually said that she prefers to audition than just getting the part for being famous, which she had to audition for every role she got before and including Twilight.

Kristen was praising the star. How are you able to continue getting away with bullying this girl? All the foolish people who have no real opinions then jump on the band wagon and continue the bullying to probably make them feel better about themselves. Shameful! Aren’t reporters supposed to be unbiased?

Reporters, maybe, but celebrity bloggers, no.

Alexis, this is not to give you attention but to support a girl who has a god given talent that she so graciously shares with us. No, she may not be what we “expect” her to be in interviews and she is not what we normally see in actors, however to me she is a refreshing change of pace to the fake people we see in hollywood. I admire her for being who she is and refusing to conform to what hollywood and the rest of the world says she should be. Think what you want, but it takes great courage to do that! People are so quick to twist words around, and that is exactly what was done here. What is sad is that everyone can clearly see that she was speaking highly of her costar and you make it sound as if shes throwing in the towel. From a professional standpoint, its tragic you dont see this. I predict kristens career will be standing long after yours. Good day :)
