If You Don’t Love This Mean Girls Musical Mash Up, Odds Are High You’re A Homeschooled Jungle Freak

Mean Girls Book of Mormon Mash-Up CararoseDP99

Just when you think the internet can’t deliver another Mean Girls mash-up, it gives us a musical. A MUSICAL GUYS! Everyone loves music, even Amber D’Alessio. While this one comes straight from The Book of Mormon, I know for a fact that you don’t have to be at all familiar with The Book of Mormon to appreciate it. How do I know that? I’ve never even seen The Book of Mormon and I’ve already watched it four thousand times this morning. While I’m sure context would make the viewing experience even better, I’m going on the record right here and right now and telling you that you don’t need it. But if you’re going to need it, I’d rather you do it in the house.

Sorry I’m not sorry that I’m going to now be quoting Mean Girls all the live long day. And by all the live long day, I really mean until the day when Tina Fey finally makes the full-length Mean Girls musical that she promised us. This one short song just got me so jazzed up for it that I might just take the rest of the day off and work on my Kevin G rap. (I added a few lines so that it’s 14 minutes long, standard musical length.)

So what do we know about this magical musical? It comes from a Youtube user named cararoseDP99. I’m guessing that’s not her given name, but in this zany world where a string of nouns can now pose as a real name, you never really know. Also, she tell us that she’s “just your typical 14 year old.” While I appreciate her modesty, I have to call her out on this lie. What she just gave us is not typical. It’s wonderous and spectacular and inspirational. If The Disney Channel  doesn’t make her the focus of Genius 2, then I’m not naming “Zoom, Zoom, Zoom” the retro song of the year. There I said it.

And now that I’ve said, I’d like to introduce you to the most amazing video you’ll watch all week:

I love that she wore the Tina Fey glasses as Ms. Norbury. That’s commitment.

She really went all out, it’s pretty impressive.

  • Joanna Rafael

    This made me weirdly emotional.
