While you spent yesterday getting in one last summer sunburn, Beyonce spent it with the Kid President. You know who I’m talking about right. He’s that kid who also happens to be president. Wikipedia tells me that his real name’s Robby Novack. But between you and me, I think Kid President will go a lot further when he’s applying for college in a few years.
Tell us about a moment that changed your life.
Well, one time, when I was a kid, I, oh, um, became president. You probably know me as Kid President. Or if you were in a hurry, just as President.
It’s therefore no surprise that Beyonce took a moment to chat with him about World Humanitarian Day. A day that’s all about celebrating reality stars, D-list celebs or really anyone who’s ever spent more than two days in a row watching The View. Oh, I’m sorry, I’m confusing World Humanitarian Day with every day. Classic mistake. World Humanitarian Day celebrates good human beings who died in their efforts to make the world a better place. Kid President’s using his celebrity connections to draw attention to this pretty important day of recognition. Which makes sense, he’s a pretty important kid president.
But the best part of the whole interview isn’t that he’s the Kid President or that he looks better in a suit than most grown men. It’s that Beyonce’s actually impressed by him. I’ll go on the record right here and right now and say that I think there are very few people who impress Beyonce. Maybe God on a good day. Possibly Jay-Z when she’s having a moment of weakness. But I’m not really sure who else would make the list of “people Beyonce thinks are more worthy than her” besides the Kid President. So for that reason and that reason alone, this video’s worth watching today. I mean, she begs him for a kiss. If that doesn’t define amaze, I don’t know what does.
