This Is Clearly The Perfect Sophia Grace GIF To Celebrate Her First Movie Role

Sophia Grace, of the performance group Sophia Grace and Rosie, just landed her first movie role as Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods. Considering that this movie also stars Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick and Meryl Streep, it’s kind of a big deal. Considering that the 10-year-old is Ellen DeGeneres closest friend and confidante, this role came as no surprise to me though. We knew at some point, Auntie El would pull some strings and get the girl in something. If only to keep her fresh and exciting for the red carpets come award season next year.

I think we can all agree that 2013 is the year we went from loving her to liking her to wondering how she could possibly still be attending school in Britain with all this cross-continental travel across the pond. Don’t get me wrong. I think she’s built of spunk and pizzazz and even a dash of moxie. If the acting career doesn’t pan out, I have no doubt she’ll do something in the biz. God only knows that I’d rather watch her interview celebrities over Ryan Seacrest any day of the week.

So in honor of her getting her big start, I present you with my absolute favorite Sophia Grace GIF of all time. And no, I will give you no context.

I’m just so curious as to how he’s petting her without messing up her hair even a tiny bit. I’ve concluded that she’s magical, as that’s the only possible explanation.

HAVE THE CASTING DIRECTORS EVER! EVEN! SEEN! INTO THE WOODS! This is legitimately the worst news I’ve heard in months. To put that in perspective, in the last few months the Kimye spawn was thrust upon us, Matt Saracen got married to some chick who isn’t me, Kris Jenner got a talk show, and my office has become infested with bats who sometimes fly past my head while I innocently write press releases.

    It’s that bad.

I was just going to say the same thing. Clearly they have not seen the show ever. Casting an actual child as Little Red Riding Hood has a serious creep factor or they are doing major cuts/changes.

So I haven’t ever seen the show, but I did read an article last night that was all about how they’d have to cut that entire story line now. So forgive me for not knowing that. Also God should forgive humans for even putting a Johnny Depp/Sophia Grace creepy relationship in our heads.

It’s OK that you haven’t seen the show, you didn’t cast it. Unless you did, in which case I have serious issues with everyone cast. Except Anna Kendrick. I’m just not seeing this movie now and hoping for a Broadway revival that doesn’t star Amy Adams.

Twist, I’m a casting director on the side. I’m also doing Fifty Shades if you have any thoughts. I’m thinking Chris Kirkpatrick for Christian. Whaddya think?

I never read Fifty Shades but from everything I know about it I’d say that’s down right inspired.
