It’s hot outside. Very hot. And I’m sure that’s the case for many of you. While we desperately wanted the heat to show up a few months ago, once it arrived we immediately began looking for ways to cool off. Sitting directly in front of a fan or taking multiple cold showers per day works, but every once and a while (or everyday for some of you. I’m jealous of you, Californians!) it’s nice to go to the beach. This means you’ll need a swimsuit, sunscreen, smooth legs (courtesy of BIC Soleil razors! Duh!), and as you’ll see below, if you’re Gwen Stefani, you’ll need a lot more than that! To get you inspired for your next trip, here’s some celeb beach style that we love.

Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough walk to the beach in very similar outfits: straw fedoras, flip flops, sunglasses, and shorts.
Nicole Richie in a sheer, gold trimmed cover-up, big sunglasses, and holding a hat that looks like Nina and Julianne’s from above. This is the kind of glam beach look that would make me want to avoid the water and just drink endless pina coladas.
Olivia Palermo, of The Hills fame, wearing yet another cute hat and, I’m guessing, her topless fiancé’s shirt…? It does make for a cool beach cover-up.
Rihanna mixes things up with a baseball cap instead of a straw hat, a long mesh shirt, and zig-zag bikini while visiting Barbados.
Ashlee Simpson keeps the baseball cap trend going with a Yankees hat, Ray Bans, and a mix-and-match swimsuit.
Last, but not least, Gwen Stefani, who made sure (REALLY SURE) to protect her skin from the sun with a long skirt, at least one shawl, and an umbrella. Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.Â
