What have we learned from the tale of Britney Spears, guys? A woman who shot to fame at a young age and received such little guidance on negotiating her fame that she flamed out and had a meltdown from which she has never truly recovered. Sure, she’s back on television and stuff and releasing new music, but something’s still off about her, somewhere in the eyes, and I don’t know if it’ll ever come back.
So with all that in mind, I can’t see any reason for Britney not to throw her kids into her newest music video for ‘Ooh La La’ from The Smurfs 2. I mean what could go wrong! Sean Preston is already seven, and Jayden James is six, and as we already established this morning with Suri Cruise, a seven-year old is a legal adult these days in all fifty states! You gotta keep up with the news!
In the video, Britney sits with Sean and Jayden in the front row of a movie theater, presumably about to watch The Smurfs 2, when suddenly TRAGEDY STRIKES and she is sucked into the film. Obviously this is terrifying, but her kids are remarkably well-adjusted and are still able to enjoy the movie even though their mom has been absorbed into it for some short-skirt prancing and impressive hand-acting. Seriously, the girl can’t keep her hands out of her own hair or off her face. It’s like a three minute glamour shot, just with better Photoshopping.
See what I mean, guys? They finally got someone skilled enough to take the sleepy out of Brit’s eyes and add in a little ‘manic parent’ instead. It’s cute that she made a video that’s geared more toward kids that her boys might like, but it’s kind of painful to watch them interacting because she so obviously craves their approval. They’re cute kids, it’s just odd to me that she would put them in a video at such a young age after everything she went through. I just hope they’re able to grow up with some sense of normalcy, or as much as you can when Britney is your mom and Kevin Federline is your dad.
