While I’m assuming that the always delightful Sandra Bullock recently went on The Graham Norton Show to promote The Heat, she ended up talking about sex tapes instead. Which makes total sense to me. So don’t look at me with that quizzical expression on your face, that “please tell me what’s happening” look in your eyes. I’m game. It’s Monday morning and unless I misunderstood the United States Constitution it’s the prime time to talk about sex tapes. Wait, hold up, I might be thinking of The View not the US Constitution, but that’s neither here nor there.
Despite the fact that this interview went down in 2013, Sandy’s sex scene with Ryan Reynolds in 2009′s The Proposal comes up. Why? I don’t know. She got naked in it and that seems like enough of a reason to bring it up whenever possible. I’m sure her family still makes sure to talk about it at Thanksgiving every single year.
“Sandra, sweetheart, can you pass the mashed potatoes and tell us again what it was like to be naked near Ryan Reynolds, ooo and the gravy please!”
The conversation takes a great turn then when Sandra talks about how she only does sexy scenes when they’re meant to be funny — because in real life sex is funny and awkward and do-not-put-that-in-that-hole. Yes, duh, it’s also obviously fun. But it’s undeniable that watching a sex tape of yourself (and yes I’m speaking on behalf of you personally here) would probably make you squirm in your seat a little bit. Like Sandra says in this very interview, no one looks good doing it…unless they’re filming a sex tape and choosing the right lighting and the right angles and the right partners. Otherwise it’s just a jumble of limbs and body parts and Cosmo position flashcards flying everywhere.
