While you were busy watching the game between the Miami Heat and the…London Spurs(?) last night, like most of the world was, or at an improv show with only a basic knowledge of which teams were even playing, like I was, Drake was trying to get into the Heat locker room and failing miserably. Now I don’t know if you know this about me, guys, but one of my favoritest things in the whole entire world is when celebrities try to name-drop themselves and it doesn’t work. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a famous human getting treated just exactly the same way that a normal human such as myself would be treated.
After the championship game last night, Drake went backstage, or whatever it’s called when it’s a sports thing, and tried to get access to the dressing room. Goddamnit, I mean the locker room. I’m still the same despicable theater major that I was in college. He was gently rebuffed there, and tried again and got officially rebuffed, kinda like Reese Witherspoon asking that cop if he knew who she was, and getting arrested for her troubles.
Drake obviously didn’t get arrested or anything, because he wasn’t doing anything wrong, but the whole incident did get recorded on video, because this is a blessed world that wants to bring me joy and happiness.
