Remember when we spotted Miley Cyrus doing the walk of shame from Channing Tatum’s house last week and we totally blew up her spot. Well turns out the joke’s on us because she wore that pride of stride outfit for Jimmy Kimmel’s “(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum” music video. It debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and it’s already being hailed by esteemed outlets like Crushable.com as “the must listen to song of the day that will get stuck in your head despite making absolutely no sense.”
The basic premise of the song is that people want to channing all over your tatum. (and your tatum and your tatum and everyone’s getting channing all over their tatums!) Confused? You haven’t even begun to be confused yet. Because not only does the song repeat this line over and over again, but the music video features cameos from Miley Cyrus and Gabourey Sidibe and a magical dove. It’s everything you didn’t know you wanted on a Wednesday morning. In other words, perfect.
Oh did I mention that it stars Jamie Foxx singing alongside Channing Tatum. Why? Don’t ask silly questions. Why wouldn’t Jamie Foxx be in this video? Why wouldn’t a pool noodle get a shoutout? Why wouldn’t a young Jimmy Kimmel try to channing all over his mom’s tatum — only to be called out as a huge pervert? There are no answers today. Just the sweet sounds of Miley Cyrus singing after getting rescued from under a vending machine.
While Channing Tatum’s never really revved my personal engines, I’ve always understood the appeal. And now, after watching him rap in this video, I’m starting to think that maybe he is my type after all. He’s funny, he owns a white suit and he can fly. And call me crazy, but those are the top three things I look for in a guy.
