While you spent last night deciding not to watch Toddlers & Tiaras: The After Effects of 12 Years of GoGo Juice, Miss Utah took the stage at the 2013 Miss USA competition and gave a nonsensical answer to a pretty basic question about the problems with pay inequality in America. While I feel bad that Marissa Powell flubbed her answer after presumably working for years upon years upon to be in this competition, I can’t help but clap my hands in some kind of sick delight. (I also can’t help but picture her mom in the audience mouthing “pretty feet” to her.) If moments like this aren’t the reason that the Internet got invented in the first place, then I’ve been using this damn thing completely wrong.
But before we get to the video, let me emotionally prep you for who you’re about to see in this clip. Because it’s not just the new hot internet sensation Miss Utah. Are you sitting down? Good, but not great. Why not lay down. Why not curl up in fetal position and pretend that you don’t recognize the two names that I’m about to throw out at you: Giuliana Rancic and NeNe Leakes. From what I’m seeing in this here video, Giuliana received permission to not only be on stage — but also to hold the microphone in this woman’s face. Which I think means she made it! Snaps for Giuliana Rancic! You go girl!
And now that we’ve gotten that promotion announcement out of the way, let’s say hello to NeNe Leakes. This lady continues her trend of being every place you’d NEVER EXPECT HER TO BE by sitting in a Miss USA judges chair. So yeah, they’re there, just hanging around, having careers. Doing what people like them do these days.
Bear in mind, I just told you celebrity cameo information so you can focus on what’s really important. And that’s how to create education better.
