Okay you guys, I’m gonna need to start getting some real answers about this Beyonce pregnancy thing. E! broke the news that she was expecting baby numero dos last week, and since they’re normally so reliable and known for waiting on confirmation from the celebrity’s team, everybody jumped on the story right away and assumed it was true, including your best pals over here at Crushable. Blue Ivy was gonna have a wee little nugget of a sibling in her life, Bey was gonna strut around on awards show stages with a classic diva baby bump, and Jay-Z was gonna try to beat his record of youngest human voice on a hit single that he set last year. All was right in the world.
BUT THEN. Beyonce posted a weird thing to her Instagram, vaguely addressing the rumors without specifically referencing them, saying:
“I can’t stop the rumors from starting, and I can’t really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me.”
It really seemed like she was denying the pregnancy, but then the plot thickened when she deleted the post and made no further statements. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN. And now even Jay-Z is getting on the denial train, reportedly emailing a Hot 97 executive saying, “It’s not true. The news is worse than blogs.” You guys! I need answers! Is she pregnant or not?? But since everyone’s staying so quiet, I guess I’ll have to turn to my guiltiest of guilty pleasures…blind items.
According to BlindGossip.com, E! intentionally released the story early, without waiting for the official confirmation, in order to distract from another news item swirling through the media about a musician being gay. The BlindGossip post doesn’t specifically call him out, but they insinuate that the artist in question is Kanye West, by mentioning fish sticks, a reference to Kanye from a South Park episode. If you believe their post, Kanye allegedly has such a close relationship with Ryan Seacrest, and brings in so much revenue for the channel, that they wanted to protect his image, apparently at the cost of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s trust. This is all a tangled web, and I don’t know how much of it I believe, but something is definitely fishy about this whole story. Or, fish-sticky, I guess.
