There’s nothing like a Late Night With Jimmy Fallon game to put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. And this time Jimmy’s joined by none other than Bradley Cooper. I mean, could it get any better than that? Yes, it can get better, when a friendly game of Faceketball is involved. That’s right, Faceketball. That’s “face” meets “basketball.” Because it’s NBA playoff time, Jimmy decided the perfect thing for him and Bradley to do would be to put basketball hoops on their faces and throw miniature basketballs at each other. It’s just as ridiculously entertaining as you’d expect.
This game comes after Bradley Cooper already Bradley Coopered a smile on our faces by talking to Jimmy about how awesome Jennifer Lawrence is in their new movie together. So this game will probably make that smile take up your entire face. So you should warn your eyeballs right now that your smile is coming for them, and they should probably move themselves up on your face so they can still see the wonderful video you’re smiling at. You know, if that’s doable for you. I don’t know how the different parts of your face get along with each other; you have to figure that out for yourself.
But anyway, back to Faceketball. The idea is that two players with basketball hoops hanging over their faces (I would greatly enjoy the job of making these game props) sit across from each other, and the first person to get three basketballs in the other person’s hoop is crowned the Faceketball champion. You’re probably thinking, “Hey, that’s totally easy. I’d win that game in a heartbeat.” But that is apparently not the case, because as you’ll see when you watch the video, the balls tend to go every which way but in the other person’s hoop. That includes hitting Bradley in the chest and soaring over Jimmy’s shoulder. But I’m not criticizing them, because if I was playing this game I’m sure I would somehow send the ball soaring over my own shoulder or ending up in some audience member’s lap.
Watch the fun play out below, and struggle to remove the smile from your face for the rest of the day. If people ask why you’re grinning, just say, “Bradley Cooper and Jimmy Fallon” and I’m sure they’ll get it.
