Last night John Krasinkski went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and reminded us all how great he can be during an epic lip sync-off. While we already know Jimmy’s a solid musical artist based on his many history of rap lessons, we didn’t find out until last night that John has some moves of his own. Moves that I know want to make my own. Did that sound sexual and alluring? I hope so, because it’s my new pick-up line for when I hit on TV-actors-turned-lip-syncers-turned-reality-show-contestants-on-the-new-fall-NBC-show-called-celebrity-lip-syncz.
John kicked off the competition with a little “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry, followed it up with Run DMC’s “Peter Piper” and ended it with the ultimate middle school slow dance song, “I’ll Make Love To You” by Boyz II Men. By the time he got halfway through crooning out that last song, I’d already gone through puberty two times over (and relived that “ladies choice” dance that I spent hiding in the bathroom in 7th grade because I was so stressed about choosing the wrong guy and everyone thinking that I actually liked him).
While I know it’s a little early in the morning to start playing confession time, I must admit that I forgot how much I adore John Krasinski. Sure back in the glory days of The Office, I got reminded each and every week that he’s the perfect man. But then I stopped watching the show and I started complaining about it and somewhere along the way I forgot that he’s one of the cutest actors on TV right now. I could watch him make his faces all the live long day — and I that’s kinda what I plan to do today. Feel free to leave your favorite Jim Halpert Youtube compilation videos in the comments.
But first, watch the video that reminded me what it meant to have a middle-school-style crush on someone.
