[Updated] There’s Hope That Amanda Bynes Actually Got Help Last Night

[UPDATE: Amanda Bynes tweeted at Jenny McCarthy this morning and said the following about the alleged police visit: "you're ugly! Police weren't at my house old lady! Shut the fuck up! I need help? What are u talking about? Aren't u 50 years old? I'm 27, u look 80 compared to me! Why are you talking about me?" She then retweeted this ET Online story. At this point it's safe to say that I don't know what happened (or didn't happen) with the police or what is currently going on.]

Like everyone else, I’ve followed the Amanda Bynes breakdown of 2013 pretty closely. What at one point seemed like a classic case of a child-star-gone-wrong quickly turned into something a lot more scary. While we’re obviously in no place to diagnose Amanda, it’s pretty clear that she’s not doing okay. Which is why I wasn’t shocked last night when she posted a topless photo to Twitter wearing nothing but ripped tights and underwear (nor was I shocked when people used that photo to come up with a few top-notch jokes for their online stand-up routine). So many of her recent choices come off like a giant cry for help and it’s looking like someone in her life actually answered. Finally. It took long enough.

Jonathan Jaxson, who’s listed as a publicist/manager/marketing/consulting/god fearing/realtor on this Twitter account, tweeted out the following early this morning:

He then wrote a few more tweets that he later deleted about the NYPD being at Amanda Bynes’ house. And finally he wrapped up the whole episode with these tweets.

The alleged incident seemed to start getting attention when Jenny McCarthy saw Jonathan’s tweets and tweeted her own message out.

While it definitely concerns me that Jonathan Jaxson (who Cambio says is reportedly Amanda’s old publicist) felt the need to tweet about this entire incident rather than just going to get help, it is good to know that there’s someone in her life who cares enough about her to do something. I think we’re all at the point where anything’s better than nothing. Watching her fall apart from the sidelines is one of the saddest things I’ve ever witnessed — and watching so many people continue to egg her on is even worse. Even if the police weren’t able to get her the help she needs last night, it’s (hopefully) a step in the right direction.

      Ugh. Finally.

Be careful with what you report on about JJ. Can someone say famewhore? I wouldnt doubt he personally reached out to Crushable to get this story up about HIMSELF being such a good “friend” to someone he really doesnt know.

I don’t doubt that publicists do that sometimes, but this story is on plenty of other news sites this morning, even the big conglomerate sites, so I doubt they reached out to Crushable. She’s reporting on what people want to read about given the page views and what not. The Amanda Bynes thing is really sad and I truly hope she does have someone in her corner and isn’t just drowning alone.

If they were so into helping her, they would not have posted on twitter.

I know…this is what makes me so skeptical.
