All I Want To Do Is Drink Wine And Giggle About Tantric Sex With Diane Keaton And Ellen

Diane Keaton on Ellen April 2013

By some magical spell, can I teleport back in time and across the country to hang out with Ellen DeGeneres and Diane Keaton on the set of Ellen’s show? Is that so much to ask? Diane’s on the show today to promote her new movie The Big Wedding, and since Ellen had some wine purses (yes, wine purses) left over from her monologue, she gave some wine to Diane. What ensues is a drunken, giggly discussion about tantric sex, punching Robert De Niro and wanting to get married. And I want to go to there.

Diane and Ellen contemplate whether or not it’s appropriate to discuss the topic of tantric sex as it relates to the movie, and Ellen, mischievous lady that she is, eggs Diane on, because she, like the rest of us, wants to find out how it will go. Before she defines “tantric sex,” Diane makes sure to remind everyone, “Look, I’m Diane” to separate herself from the character she plays, but it sounds as if she just learned her own name and decided to share it with us. She proceeds to explain that there’s this “thing called the orgasm.” Just please watch the video for yourself below to witness this amazing moment. Diane laughs, the audience laughs, Ellen laughs, I laughed, you’ll laugh. Everybody laughs!

Ellen picked the perfect person to get drunk. Diane still gives off that la di da Annie Hall vibe to this day, and it really comes out when she’s had a glass of icy purse wine. I love it. And the best part is she rambles on about more things for two minutes after the tantric sex discussion.

All this interview is missing, really, is Meryl Streep in a wrap sweater. All I want to do is giggle over a glass of wine with a Diane, Ellen and Meryl. We can have homemade hummus and chocolate croissants and put our bare feet up on a Pottery Barn coffee table, and maybe it’s a book club but we’re not talking about the book, because none of us read the book since really we just want an excuse to make each other laugh. Sorry, I got a little carried away there.
