In case I haven’t made it eminently clear enough, I’m pretty obsessed with Burning Love. It’s a hilarious show in its own right, but it’s genius if you’ve ever watched the shows it parodies, like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. It perfectly spoofs the weird human behavior that those shows capitalize on, and the weirdness inherent in ‘falling in love’ with multiple people at the same time. In the same house. On national television. And Burning Love is working its way very efficiently through all the show’s variations, too; the first season starred Ken Marino as Mark Orlando, a fireman looking to find love. After that season was over, they picked one of the discarded bachelorettes, Julie Gristlewhite (played by June Diane Raphael) to star in their next season. And now, for season three, which was announced last week and starts on April 12th (!!), they’re taking on Bachelor Pad, in all its game show glory. Just to sate your spoof-etite until then, here’s the teaser for the new season, Burning Down The House:
We did it!!!!
