Oh glorious Golden Globes wet-dream of mine, you’re finally coming true! No, not the one where I’m best friends with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but the one where Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell only do things with each other from now on and forever. In addition to working with each other on Anchorman 2, it’s recently been announced that Kristen will star in the new movie that Will is producing called Welcome To Me. It’s an indie comedy directed by Shira Piven (who also directed Fully Loaded), and it focuses on Kristen’s character, “a woman with dissociative personality disorder who wins the lottery and decides to spend her winnings on a cable access talk show about her life.”
Okay, that sounds great and all, but does it necessarily have to be a movie they’re working on? Or can it maybe just be two and a half hours of footage of them explaining the plots of movies in unison like they did at the Golden Globes? I’m thinking something along the lines of, “And then Voldemort showed up with soooo many chambers of secrets in his hair and all the Muggles were like…get outta here.” Or even just a whole movie of Kristen trying to sing along with Fred Armisen like they used to do on Weekend Update for Saturday Night Live. Pretty much anything with Kristen trying to be in unison, I will watch several days of footage of, is I guess what I’m getting at. But I’m sure this movie will be good, too, just like everything her fingers have touched. Sigh. Let’s watch that Golden Globes presentation one more time just because I’m so in love with it.
