Can We All Acknowledge That Chris Brown Is Inches Away From His Next Meltdown?

Chris Brown at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards held at Staples CenterI have no doubt that every member of Team Breezy is chomping at the bit to comment on this post and tell me what a waste of oxygen and laptop power I am, but seriously…can we all acknowledge that Chris Brown is like, moments away from doing something drastic again? For a while his only interactions with the media were from behind his fans or through his bizarrely aggressive Twitter or via Instagram snaps with a usually nude Rihanna. It was pretty obvious that the two of them were back together, but they wouldn’t acknowledge it publicly, and somehow I think that kept Chris’ behavior under control. Something about not being officially back with Rihanna made him keep clinging to any semblance of a good guy image that he’s inexplicably been able to hang onto.

But now that they’re going full bore again, all bets are off, and violence has been moving quickly to the forefront of Chris’ actions again. He’s gotten in spats with Frank Ocean and Drake, as well as his own bodyguard, Big Pat, and a valet, over a $10 charge. And now there’s this new picture out of him grabbing himself at the paparazzi and I’m…just pretty terrified he’s gonna do something new, frankly. He’s behaving so erratically and violently that I think we’re looking at a full meltdown in the next couple of months? Weeks? Days? I have no idea. All I know is that it makes me extremely uncomfortable that Rihanna is still in his life. The kind of person who can break a woman’s face is probably not the kind of person who can think about said face-breaking in a rational way. Even though every intelligent human looking at that situation (and no, I’m not looking at you, Team Breezy, you’re all idiots) can tell that Chris Brown created that situation all on his own, I’m betting he still associates Rihanna with the negative media attention he got following the attack. I’m thinking in his mind, it’s probably her fault that he’s unpopular in the media, and it’s only a matter of time before he strikes out at her, or someone else, again.

Who wouldn’t want to be wrong about this? But scarily, I think you’re absolutely right. I think he’s about to break and it’s not going to be pretty.
