Well isn’t this sweet. Finnick Odair, of the District 4 Odairs, took a break from his pirate modeling gig to pose for the Catching Fire portrait series. Unfortunately, as you can clearly see from his outfit, he had no time to change his outfit. And that’s why you see him here now looking like he just left a job at a pirate-themed restaurant in Times Square. No one does deep v-neck quite like the pirate-themed restaurants in Times Square.
You see, when Finnick’s not writing Mr. Finnick Cresta in fancy cursive letters on his notepad or off quarter-quelling it, he’s off making some extra money by doing some very lite and some very casual pirate modeling. Please tell me you remember this chapter in the book! I know it’s been awhile since most of read it, but it’s really a key part to understanding Finnick Odair as a character.
In fact, most of the characters in the Hunger Games series have side jobs that get a throwaway line in one of the books. For example, did you know that Mags worked as Betty White’s stunt double in the late ’80s? Or that Katniss Everdeen used to teach archery to children at an overnight camp in District 1? I bet not. Because odds are that you did not read these books as carefully as I did. But that’s okay. That’s why I’m here. To gently remind you what you forgot about.
So like I said above, this is Finnick Odair, he’s a pirate model with great bone structure. That’s all you really to know for right now. But rest assured that when you need more accurate and relevant info, I’ll be the first to let you know.
