Topanga Lawrence, er, I mean Danielle Fishel, is showing off her curves and her belly button jewelry on the cover of the new Maxim magazine, prompting every straight man who grew up in the ’90s to throw his arms up in joy and thank the men’s magazine gods. The new pictures beg the question: Will Topanga be a hot mom on the highly anticipated TV show Girl Meets World?
It’s not really possible for Danielle Fishel to not be hot, but will she be channeling these photos or rockin’ mom jeans? Will she be the mom all the boys stare at during carpool or the mom whose door all the boys knock on for free chocolate chip cookies? Hotness and cookies are both valuable assets, and I predict that Topanga will offer both.
One thing we can definitely be sure of is that Danielle Fishel will bring the funny. Anyone who watched the short-lived but highly entertaining Style Network clip show The Dish knows that she’s got a great personality and a killer sense of humor. Her Ina Garten impersonation is top-notch. And I wonder what this character would think of Justin Bieber’s latest behavior:
Dare I say she was a funnier clip show host than Joel McHale. Whatchu gon’ do?
Of course, I read Maxim for the articles, and I was interested to see what Danielle had to say about her time on Boy Meets World.
Like that time Danny Tanner maybe asked her for drugs or possibly just wanted a refreshing soft drink:
“One time we were all on a private jet going to Disney World, and my mom, dad, and brother were also with me … Anyway, we were trying to take a nap, and all of a sudden Bob Saget walks down the aisle, rips open our curtain, and shouts, ‘Do you guys have any coke?!’ Then he looks my dad in the eye, laughs, and closes the curtain. My mom was like, ‘What was that all about?’”
Or the fact that she might not encourage you to name your daughter Topanga:
“I’ve met five little girls named Topanga, all after me, and I’ve heard about many more. People will tweet me, and I’ve had family members who have met other Topangas. It’s crazy and it’s flattering, but I never know what to say when they’re showing me their beautiful little girls. I’m like, ‘Really? Topanga!?’”
Oh and as for those rumors about her and Ben Savage, AKA Cory Matthews, having “dated” in real life, she wants you to know that they went on one date as teenagers but realized they were too much like family to be a couple. Say it with me now: “Awww.”
