Hot on the heels of the depressing news that Prince Jackson is the newest (and youngest) correspondent for Entertainment Tonight comes yet more super-bummer information. Michael Jackson‘s oldest, and hence most Michael Jackson parented son, Prince, will make his acting debut on the season finale of the CW’s 90210.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prince will play “Cooper, a trauma victim who bonds with Silver (Jessica Stroup) over the realization — at a very young age — how precious life is.” Meaty stuff! And consistent with his previously stated goal of becoming ”well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor,” if not with his father’s dying wish. This 16-year-old kid is determined to go full EGOT on us and build a multimedia empire.
I know I’ve said it before, but I fail to see how Prince’s grandparents could be allowing him to do any of this, considering child stardom (and other factors) basically turned their son from a bright, adorable, precocious kid into a paranoid, (maybe) child molesting, thousand-year-old gollum. Then again, Prince’s grandparents are demonstrably weird and greedy, and Prince seems to want to do this stuff very badly, so I guess the temptation was just too great.
This kid is never going to be normal at this point—I mean, he’s already looking like a baby Quentin Tarantino—but I sincerely hope he comes out of this stuff semi-okay.
