Vampires aren’t the only things that suck! Last night at the Razzie Awards, the annual “award show” held the night before the Oscars that celebrates the year’s worst films, Breaking Dawn Part 2 swept almost all of them by winning 7 awards.
Kristen Stewart won the honor of “Worst Actress” and Taylor Lautner snagged “Worst Supporting Actor,” alongside other horrible performances like Adam Sandler‘s in That’s My Boy and Rihanna‘s in Battleship. They’re all obviously in good company.
What I want to know is, what will we all do without any more Twilight movies? I mean I’m willing to bet my firstborn child that Adam Sandler will continue to make awful movie choices, and that Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will undoubtedly continue not acting in other films, but Twilight really encapsulated so much stank. Its essence will never be duplicated.
My favorite quote reported from last night’s Razzie celebration came from Razzies founder John Wilson:
“Acting should involve having an expression on your face, and she is blank, other than the morose kind of half-Goth thing her character does. Kristen Stewart is so expressionless she might as well be a brick wall.”
Kristen Stewart won not one, but TWO Razzies last night (Snow White and the Huntsman only benefited her career thanks to Rupert Sanders‘ peen), so if that seems a little harsh… well, it isn’t.
