In news that will likely make you reevaluate your life choices and regret not having babies with Brad Pitt when you had the chance, a few of Brangelina’s kids are starring in Angelina Jolie’s new Sleeping Beauty movie
Nepotism Maleficent, and at least one of them is making a pretty penny.
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, of the “our family takes up the entire aisle at the mall” Jolie-Pitts, is starring as a younger version of Elle Fanning in the movie, and she reportedly made $3,000 per week on the film. Let’s hope little Vivienne gave that money to a good cause and didn’t squander it on a diamond-encrusted Barbie convertible or anything.
But Vivienne isn’t the only Jolie-Pitt who scored a role in the flick. Her siblings Pax and Zahara also have parts, so they might as well slap a Sarah McLachlan song onto the movie and call it a family slideshow.
One member of the Jolie-Pitt clan will not appear in the movie, however. Little Shiloh “I’ll Wear Cargo Shorts If I Want To” Jolie-Pitt was supposed to appear in the film, but apparently “she was bored and not in the mood during the day her part was supposed to happen, so she ended up not being in the film.”
I take two things away from this anecdote:
1.) The Jolie-Pitts have so much money that getting paid (although presumably not as much money as Vivienne made for her bigger role) to play make-believe is just not worth it.
2.) Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is so not impressed with mom Angelina’s career as a movie star and professional almost-smiler. She’s already “rebelling” (if you want to call it that) through her clothing. You know she’s going to eventually rebel in other ways by being the one to look at the camera Jim Halpert-style in the theoretical Jolie-Pitt reality show that plays in my head on a day-to-day basis.
