While we all know that it’s not easy to transition from a child star to an adult actress, Selena Gomez has done it with the utmost grace. From a teenager on a children’s show to a woman starring in movies on the big screen, she’s made growing up in front of the cameras look way too easy.
She kicked off her career way back in 2007 as the smart-mouthed Alex in Wizards of Waverly Place. Within just a few months of the show being on the air, she became a teen idol to all the young girls who watched the show. Even the adults in our life couldn’t help asking, “what is a Selena Gomez?” From there her career just kept growing and I think everyone — kids and adults — would agree that she’s grown into a role model who we can all respect and admire.
But even though she’s growing up, she still remains her unique and spunky self — and that’s something you can clearly see every time she gets photographed.
