I Didn’t Even See This Is 40, But I Still Love The Bloopers

This Is 40Well, ladies and gentlemen, we’ve reached that special time on a Friday where I’m going to share a personal fact about myself. There’s no news happening because all the celebrities are snug in their beds for the weekend, so it’s just you and me now, and I’m ready to admit: I. Love. Bloopers. I love them so much you guys, I don’t even know what to do with myself. You know those big chunks of Friends bloopers on YouTube? That are like thirty-five minutes long? I’ve skipped dinners. I’ve lost friends. I’ve missed flights. Well, never flights, but definitely the other two. I’m obsessed. And part of that obsession is that I will watch gag reels for movies I never even saw. It doesn’t ruin anything for me, for some reason. I just love seeing the movie stars relaxed and at ease and laughing at themselves. It makes me feel like I’m hanging out with them.

For example, I’ve never seen This Is 40, but I’m about to enjoy the heck out of hanging out with Jason Segel and Paul Rudd for a second, and I hope you join me.

See? Wasn’t that fun? Didn’t you have a super good time watching Megan Fox let loose a little and not be such a gorgeous ice queen? And falling a little more in love with the adorableness that is Chris O’Dowd? Don’t you feel better now? I know I do. It’s almost more satisfying to me than actually seeing the movie, because instead I get to see how the actors feel about the movie. And what could be more satisfying than that?
