Stop the presses. Stop ALL of them. Something has happened to this country. Something bold, something brash, something…blunt. It’s bangs, ya’ll! On our First Lady’s forehead! That’s right, the one and only Michelle Obama got bangs. She banged up. The White House Tweeted a picture of her earlier today talking to the Inaugural citizen chair David Hall, except it was totes just an excuse to give us a peek at her new ‘do. I know it was. Look at the way it shimmers and shines! She looks so stylish! Let’s allow ourselves to be distracted from the numerous frightening political issues currently facing our country by the subtle dance of light across the blunted ends of her head hairs! No but this is very exciting. Not least because I got my own bangs trimmed yesterday, so Michelle and I are both rocking some fresh bangs. I’ll have to call her.
But it’s not just the First Lady and me in a see of long-haired lassies, guys! There are plenty of people with that thing the British call fringe, and some of them are even celebrities. In fact, there are a lot of celebrities with bangs! Wanna see their pictures? Cool, me too.
