While I assumed they’d cancel the 2013 Academy Awards after that stunt Angelina Jolie’s leg pulled last year, they’re apparently going through with it. Rumor has it that the Oscars are somewhat of a tradition. So this morning our friends Seth Macfarlane and Emma Stone woke up at the ungodly hour of 5:30 AM PST to tell us all the Academy Award Nominees for 2013. Because nothing creates suspense quite like being half-asleep during the biggest nominations ceremony of the year (not including the Teen Choice Awards, of course).
Their presentation showed us a little sneak peek of Seth Macfarlane’s hosting skills and I’m saddended to say I’m not impressed. But like I said, it’s early there. And Emma Stone showed up on stage so I was pretty distracted. Also she gave out some pretty fun facts. Such as all the nominees for best supporting actor have won before. Also Emmanuelle Riva is the oldest best actress nominee and Quvenzhane Wallis is the youngest. She’s 9 years old. So in case you woke up feeling impressed with yourself this morning, don’t be.
Here’s the list of the nominees (coming as fast as I can type)
