In news that should make you regret ever paying for a college degree, Kim Kardashian began her pregnancy publicity blitz yesterday by announcing that she’d be working with celebrity fitness trainer Tracy Anderson to stay in shape during her pregnancy. Because no Kardashain Family Special Moment’s complete without several carefully crafted lucrative endorsement deals.
Kris Jenner will never forgive herself for not getting Kourtney Kardashian’s two births sponsored — and she’s made a promise that she’s going to make up for her mistake by selling actual ad space inside Kim Kardashian’s womb. If all goes according to plan she’ll be able to sell the child’s naming rights to the highest bidder, then eventually sell the child itself as soon as it stops being profitable Oh, you didn’t think they were keeping Mason Disick did you? Oh no, oh no, oh no. Unless he starts contributing more realistic ideas to their weekly family marketing meetings he’s a goner. So is Bruce Jenner. But that’s for other more botox-y reasons.
To be fair to Kim Kardashian, she only mentioned Tracy Anderson briefly on her blog.
Tracy Anderson is keeping me in shape! She is helping me make the adjustments necessary to keep me feeling happy, healthy and most importantly create a workout plan that is safe for the baby. It’s really important for me to have a fitness routine that works for my body and my schedule and I’m really happy with the workout plan Tracy is working with me on. Xo
To be unfair to Kim Kardashian, Tracy Anderson did launch a Pregnancy Project workout series late last year and as The Daily Mail points out, it’s pretty coincidental that she now has a pregnant celebrity endorsing her pregnancy workout regimen. Is Kim getting paid by Tracy to promote her pregnancy workout? We don’t know. But based on the family’s history, it’s not that unlikely.
I just hope Kanye West knows what he got himself into with this family. One second he’s enjoying the increased publicity and fame — and the next second Kris Jenner has him signed up to endorse an app that helps infants learn to rap while simultaneously burning baby fat.
