Ke$ha Further Explains Her Sexual Preferences Because Ghost Sex Wasn’t Clear Enough

kesha watch launch 311012I guess Ke$ha‘s close encounters of the supernatural kind (AKA ghost sex, ’cause that happened) didn’t elicit quite the “what the fuck?!” reactions she was looking for. Personally, I thought Jenelle Evans from MTV’s Teen Mom 2 having to decide between jail time and a Ke$ha concert was the most pertinent thing to happen in recent autotuned-pop-star-related news. Seems I was wrong, though. Teen mom problems have nothing on Ke$ha’s sexual preferences.

Which, by the way, we have learned are not limited to only men and/or male ghosts. According to a recent interview with Seventeen Magazine, Ke$ha’s love interests aren’t limited to men. Got that, guys? Are you shocked yet?! With all the craaaazy stuff that Ke$ha’s got going on, how could you not be.

In case you’ve been too busy doing anything else to follow Ke$ha’s prominent (scandalous, even) presence, let me just give you a little refresher: First of all, she spells her name with a dollar sign instead of an “s”. Have you experienced anything so avant garde since Prince started using that symbol thing instead of an actual name? Oh yeah, Christina Aguilera’s switch over to X-Tina. I’ll give you that one. Ke$ha also has a gold tooth you guys. Gasps all around, am I right? And you shouldn’t need to be reminded that she has boned spirits because of course she has.

Ke$ha does a good job—er, makes a good attempt—at keeping shock value up in her most recent interview with Seventeen Magazine, too. Says the 25-year-old singer,

“I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.”

Now, this is beautiful sentiment. I have nothing but respect for those who are so open and accepting, and honestly wish this perspective were more prevalent. But of course it’s about the spirit for Ke$ha, something we already know because the girl fucks ghosts. I just wish we were getting some new information in this interview, ya know? In light of the whole “Dudes, I totally had sex with a ghost last night” thing, Ke$ha coming out as pansexual just seems a teensy weensy bit blase.

But kudos to her for verbalizing her preference, or lack thereof, in Seventeen. This tidbit may not be as shocking as Ke$ha might have hoped, but it is an uplifting message. The most important takeaway here is that Ke$ha’s saying, in one way or another, “it’s okay to love whoever you want.” Even ghosts.
