Just weeks after Kate Middleton’s best friend ruined everything by telling Life & Style that she’s pregnant with twins, her parents jumped on the Betrayal Bandwagon too. It’s getting horrifyingly clear that the closer you are to Kate Middleton, the more likely you are to sell her secrets and her soul. While I don’t want to point any fingers at Prince William, I do want everyone to keep a close eye on him. Sure today he’s all like, “please respect our privacy,” but who knows how long he’ll keep that schtick up once a tabloid offers him money for detailed descriptions of Kate’s stretch marks. Poor Kate, she’s living in a Lifetime movie with no commercial breaks.
Apparently Kate Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, run a party supplies company. Sure, we can work with that. For now. Because they run a party supplies company and because Pippa’s proven to be worthless, they’re now selling a line of baby goods with a prince and princess theme. You know, because Kate Middleton will soon be birthing a little prince or princess. There’s not a lot of subtlety in the Middleton household.
While this alone wouldn’t condemn them to Dina Lohan status, it is interesting to note this isn’t the first time they’ve turned their daughter into dollars (Copyright that title for the TV special).
ABC News, a legitimate news organization, notes that they also sold themed items when Kate married William back in 2011.
Party Pieces offered plenty of paraphernalia before the royal wedding in April 2011, and the company even cashed in this year on the queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
After hearing this news, I guess we should just be happy that they didn’t sell Duchess-themed pregnancy tests that turn into a crown when you test positive — and Beowulf when you test negative.
