On the slight chance you went out on Saturday night and missed Saturday Night Live’s amazing opening monologue from host-extraordinaire Martin Short, we have it for you right here. While I don’t want to spoil it in any way, you should know that you’re going to see a lot of celebrities. Also Martin Short’s stripped socks.
But more importantly celebrities. Prepare for Kirsten Wiig, Tina Fey, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks and Jimmy Fallon. Basically everyone you’d ever want to invite to a star-studded slumber party in your basement on a Saturday night.
And as a bonus you get a hotel-style bathrobe! Just kidding, this isn’t an infomercial There are no hotel-style bathrobes here. But there is a bonus. The musical monologue takes us backstage at Saturday Night Live and reveals more hallways than I’ve ever seen on this show before. I practically felt like I worked there. Especially when I caught pages sitting at a corner desk. God, I’m so NBC sometimes, I can’t take it!
Anyways, enough about me and my new information on how to best sneak onto the set of SNL. Here’s the monologue that everyone’s talking about.
