Jennifer Lawrence Stole Angelina Jolie’s Role In Silver Linings Playbook, In Retaliation Angie Will Adopt Her

As someone who’s spent the past few weeks raving like a lunatic about how much I loved Silver Linings Playbook, I find it so interesting that Jennifer Lawrence almost didn’t get the part of Tiffany — especially now that she’s surrounded by so much Oscar buzz. While we’ve heard word that director David O. Russell originally thought she was too young for the role, we’re just now hearing how old he wanted to go.

And brace yourself, young folks, this number will shock you. In fact most of you probably didn’t even know people age that high.

That’s how old he thought about making Tiffany in the movie. How do we know that? Because he recently said in an interview with that Angelina Jolie wanted the role and that’s how old she is now. I know, you thought drinking all that Billy Bob Thornton blood would preserve her at 32 forever.

Quite frankly, it was like a formality,” Russell told the capacity crowd at the Landmark Theatre. “I didn’t think she was really a contender. We had three very serious contenders (already). We had a lot of major actresses in town interested in the role, from Angelina Jolie to some other big stars, because it’s a dimensional role for a young woman. Jennifer we frankly thought was too young” — until she pointed the tiny camera at herself at her parents’ home in Kentucky.

While I’m sure Jennifer Lawrence feels super special knowing she stole the role from Angelina Jolie, she shouldn’t. Angelina Jolie is one of the last people I’d ever want to cross. Mostly because she’s granted international immunity to break legal guardianship laws and adopt anyone she wants.

So good luck J.Law. Hope this movie was worth it. Because soon you’re going to be stuck on a plane traveling the world with 45 siblings. And to make it worse, you’re probably too late to even get a role in Maleficent.

Isn’t J.Law’s range of talent just incredible? And I wonder what kind of effect the movie would have had if Angie did get the role…

My baby also beat out Angelina Jolie in the role of “Serena” as well which also features Bradley Cooper! She beat A.J TWICE and scored two movies with The (previous) Sexiest Man Alive. Incredible. I praise Jennifer Lawrence and her amazing talent and I know her career is only going to skyrocket from here on out.

To be fair, Jolie was only attached to Serena when Darren Aronofsky was set to direct. When that fell apart, Angie dropped out — before Jen was cast.

        Serena too???

Joli doesn’t give a fuck. She would rather direct. You know she would.

I would also prefer that she direct. Her debut with “In the Land of Blood and Honey” was impressive. The movies and roles she chooses, not so much.

she wants to direct and Brad wants to produce because neither of them can act. But they will NOT leaving that red carpet!

Jennifer Lawrence didn’t ‘beat’ Angelina Jolie out of anything. Angie ‘passed’ on both roles, and the lead in “Gravity” as well, which went to Sandra Bullock. Angie is the only female who can carry a film past the $100 million Domestic mark on her name alone. Trust … she ‘passed’ on those roles.

really? Is that why the Tourist did so well? And Sky Captain, and Changeling, and Life or Something Like It, and Beyond Borders, and Original Sin? THEY all BOMBED!!! None of them profited enough to surpassed the budget. Not even close. Angie fans…..crazy liars….all of ya. Hollywood banks that Angies internet and tabloid success will carry over into box office but it never does. Most of the people clicking on her name just want to mock and make fun of her for being such a cheesy fraud. They don’t want to spend money to see her squint her eyes and purse her lips all the way through a movie.

Go Jen!….Silver Linings Playbook is fantastic, I really loved it. Jennifer is amazing as Tiffany, and the chemistry between Jennifer & Bradley (also very good…it made me a fan of Cooper) sizzles. Alot of hyperbole yes, but damn, SLP is really that great.

After seeing her in Silver Linings Playbook, I have even more respect for her as an actress!

        She is just wonderful.

Angie is getting too old for this stuff. The younger generation aren’t interested and can’t relate to her. She is their mom’s age. I have a buttload of teenage kids in my neighborhood and none of them had even seen any of her movies, and they think Brad is cute “for an old guy”.
