Last we heard about Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan working together on Scary Movie 5, he was so unimpressed with her on-set professionalism that he thought she wouldn’t be able to swing their five-minute cameo in the parody film. Again: The man who got kicked off Two and a Half Men was judging LiLo’s ability to film a scene. But according to TMZ, they’re totally buddies now! In fact, they’re so close that Charlie has no problem writing his new pal a check for $10,000 to get rid of her pesky tax debt.
Apparently these two spent a lot of time together on the Scary Movie 5 set, filming the opening scene in bed, as well as off the set. During that time, Lindsay opened up to her fellow trainwreck Charlie about her problems with the IRS, who she reportedly owes $233,904 in unpaid taxes for 2009 and 2010. At the time he offered to cut her a check, but she refused. Then last week, possibly because he saw an early cut of her Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, a check from Charlie Sheen mysteriously appeared in the hands of Lindsay’s manager.
Suffice to say, she cashed that sucker faster than you can say #winning. She’s supposedly going to earn $2 million by the end of this year, but you can imagine most of that will go to the rest of her debt—then, you know, tackling whatever she owes in 2011. And considering her string of run-ins with the law, she’s probably saddled with plenty of fines and processing fees, at the least.
I’m really surprised that Charlie Sheen would do this. He strikes me as so self-serving. Then again, he also doesn’t seem to have the best taste in female confidantes. Or maybe he’s taking advantage of Lindsay’s financial failings to swoop in on his white horse and look like the has-been star who has his act more together than she does. It’s all relative in Hollywood.
