Correct me if I’m wrong, but Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are engaged, right? So then what’s this I hear about Liam getting injured on the set of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire? Now, I’ve never been married or engaged, but my understanding of the phenomenon is that marriage is a vow you make that says you will always always keep your partner out of harm’s way. (It initially came about because so many brides were eaten by bears, due to the many visual similarities between women in white dresses and beehives.) But anyway.
Apparently Liam twisted his knee on set while filming one of the many action sequences in the upcoming sequel. In his own words:
“There’s a bunch of action in this one. All of the characters have much more action than they did in the first one.”
Wow. What a poet. I really just got such a clear vision of the movie that America will be clamoring to see. But I also got a vision of a poor wounded Liam limping around on set! Even though Miley failed in her cardinal duty to cushion his falls, I’m hoping she at least rushed to his side and tended to him like a bird with a broken wing once she heard he was hurt. But no. It seems our hero had to suffer through not only alone, but also in silence:
“I try to just fight through it. There’s so many people standing around waiting for you to do your thing. You feel sort of obligated not to let everyone down.”
Well that’s admirable, Liam, but you know who could use a little more of that sentiment? MILEY. Frankly, I don’t know what she’s doing all day if not stage-mom-ing around your set. She’s fresh out of tattoos and there’s nothing left of her hair to cut. If Twitter happens to go down I don’t know WHAT she’ll do.
