Happy Birthday, Josh Hutcherson! Let’s Celebrate With The Very Best Peeta Meme GIFs

Happy birthday to Josh Hutcherson! It’s hard to believe that he turns only 20 today, since this guy comes across as more mature than movie stars twice his age. He’s helming the hot new franchise of The Hunger Games – proving that he can look amazing as both a blonde and his natural brunette — he never embarrasses himself at parties despite having a healthy social life, and he earnestly donates his time and fame to the LGBT organization Straight But Not Narrow. (Side note: Plenty of people have already donated to SBNN in honor of Josh’s big day — $20 for 20 — if you want to give him the very best present.)

While I’ve mostly found very serious Josh GIFs on Tumblr and other social networks, I’ve found that his Hunger Games alter ego Peeta Mellark has inspired quite the silly memes! And moreso than other fictional characters, there are categories of memes. From your typical “advice animal” set-up to .gifs where Josh’s head replaces another character for hilarious results, to the best wordplay I’ve seen from any fandom. I’m gonna include just one example of each because we’ve already told you about them, and there are so many other memes to discuss in this post. But they’re all pretty self-explanatory: Advice Peeta models other Advice Animals but it’s about his missteps in the Games; Hipster Peeta is much cooler than you; and there’s only one Inappropriate Peeta so far, but it made me giggle, so I’m hoping people will pick that one up soon.
