OK, I was a little misleading with that title. Ke$ha‘s forthcoming memoir My Crazy Beautiful Life isn’t a picture book like what kids read, even though it would’ve been completely up her alley to do something weird like that while reminiscing on her short but ghost-sex-filled life. Rather, it’s filled with photos spanning from childhood to her current tour for her new album Warrior. You know, it kinda brings to to mind those books that publishers churn out about musicians, where there’s a whole chunk of photos in the middle. Except that alongside these photos are Ke$ha’s “thoughts and reflections.”
I know, it seems rather introspective for someone whose twitpics include a shot of a wiener restaurant. But I guess Ke$ha wants us to take her somewhat seriously, judging from the official statement she released:
“In less than three years I’ve gone from being the worst waitress in LA to living out my childhood dreams of singing my songs to people all over the world. Sometimes, it feels as if the last few years have encompassed a few decades. You might have heard my voice on the radio, seen me onstage and on the red carpet, or in a music video, but that’s only a part of the story. In these pages, I’m revealing a more complete picture of what my life is really like. It’s not all glamorous and it’s not all pretty, but it’s all real.”
Really, this is more legitimate than I expected from her. The woman who teased a potential collaboration with Rihanna (which ended up not happening) via a random twitpic has an official press release. Who knew!
Still, she’s totally trolling us with that title, right? I refuse to believe that she didn’t get it from that Kirsten Dunst movie.
