J.K Rowling Induces Heart Attacks Everywhere With News Of Releasing More Harry Potter

There are two dreams that every Harry Potter fans have: receiving an acceptance letter from Hogwarts for real, or J.K Rowling announcing that she’s considering giving the world the blessing of even more Harry Potter. (If you’re like me, you have a completely different Harry Potter related dream involving Matthew Lewis and The Dark Arts, but we can discuss that later.) Well Harry Potter fans can cue Hedwig’s theme music and do a dance with their stuffed animal owls because J.K Rowling is in fact considering releasing more Harry Potter. Sort of.

Entertainment Weekly reports that in a recent interview with the BBC, J.K Rowling revealed that not only is an additional Harry Potter book not completely out of the question, but that she would like to release a “director’s cut” of Harry Potter.

How amazing would it be to know even more about Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, or even baddy Voldemort? Harry’s story got the attention it needed (7 books worth, Harry’s a little bit of an attention whore don’t ya think?) and now we want more!

While I’m definitely excited about more Harry Potter, I don’t know if I’m ready to do the Dumbledore dance quite yet. EW quoted her saying: “I read them, and I think ‘Oh God, maybe I’ll go back and do a director’s cut’…I don’t know.” See, she doesn’t know.  Ugh, when will she just give us a straight answer! Also, even though J.K Rowling says this now, who knows if or when it will actually happen? I don’t want to get my hopes up only to have them stupefied for another 10 years. Quit playing games with my muggle heart, J.K Rowling, and put some magic back in my life again.

My kids would LOVE it if she released more Harry Potter books. They’ve read a couple of books since the series ended, including The Hunger games. They’re currently reading “Dr. Fuddlge and the Gold Baton” by Warren L. Woodruff, you can check it out and get it right from the website http://www.drfuddle.com/, they are loving it! And I’m sure they’ll hear this news and keep their fingers crossed for more Harry Potter!
