Jennifer Lawrence Will Make Enough Money In Catching Fire To Reenact A Real Hunger Games, If She Wanted To

So in slightly shocking news, Jennifer Lawrence only made $500,000 (plus bonuses) for starring as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, a movie that everyone knew before it even started filming would make an estimated  gajillion dollars.

While $500,000 would go a long way for a blogger, it’s not a lot of money for an actress who starred in one of the highest grossing films of 2012. Naturally her team got on the ball this time around and negotiated a salary of around 10 million dollars for Catching Fire. That’s a lot more zeros than 99.9% of our readers will ever see on their paychecks.

And The Hollywood Reporter says that she stands to make even more than 10 million after the movie premieres.

The actress is in the final stages of negotiating a rich deal to return for Catching Fire that will pay her somewhere in the $10 million range, according to sources close to the deal. The figure is a combination of salary, bonuses and escalators. Depending on the box-office performance of the film, she could earn much more.

As we all know, this movie will do phenomenally well in the box office. So it’s safe to say that by the end of 2013, Jennifer Lawrence will be rolling in money. Like she’ll have so much money that she could buy The United States, divide it into the districts of Panem and make children duel to their death.

Or she could invest in property, donate to great causes and buy all organic food. Who knows which route she’ll take when she’s a zillionaire.

Unfortch for Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, they’re not seen as vital to the film as Jennifer Lawrence is. So while they both got a decent raise, they won’t be anywhere near as rich as J.Law. As in they might only be able to afford one house with a pool, tennis court, 6-car garage, full household staff, gold-plated toilets and 2 state of the art wine cellars.

Sorry boys, may the odds be ever in your favor the next time you negotiate.
