Russell Brand Used Star Power, Asshole Power To Make A Wardrobe Girl Show Him Her Tits

It would seem Russell Brand is getting back to his asshole roots lately, lest he become too well-liked among feminists and decent people in general. First he defended a misogynistic fucktard, and now, for his next trick, he’s acting like one himself! (Allegedly!)

According to The UK Sun, Russell Brand refused to go forward with the filming of his new movie What About Dick? (an Eric Idle penned musical) until one particular wardrobe assistant took off her shirt for him. “Russell tried to persuade a wardrobe assistant to show him her breasts but she was having none of it — at first,” said a source. “But when it started to look like they weren’t going to get any work done she gave in and flashed him. Russell is a charming scoundrel and everybody let him get away with murder on set — except [co-star] Billy [Connolly].” In case it was unclear whose side he (you know it’s a he) was on, the source added, “It was just a bit of fun…[but] Billy got annoyed when he found out and and gave Russell a stern ticking off.”

Yes, that’s right: wielding your position of power over someone who works for you to get her to do you a sexual favor she doesn’t want to do is “just a bit of fun,” and not at all the textbook definition of sexual harassment.

Assuming this story is true, it’s pretty disturbing, not just because of Brand’s behavior, but the degree to which it was indulged by the rest of the cast and crew, Connolly excepted. Where were Eric Idle and Eddie Izzard when this was happening, or afterwards? Why did the wardrobe assistant feel like she had no choice? And why is this Russell Brand’s idea of “fun”? As much as I hate to say it, the man has no trouble finding women who actually want to show him their boobs. Like most forms of sexual harassment and assault, this was about power.

Of course, The Sun is not the most reliable news source in the world, so it could be completely fictitious. Then again, considering the man first got famous in America for sexually humiliating a young woman on the radio, I wouldn’t be too surprised if it was true. If you’re out there, wardrobe girl, I want to talk to you.

Maybe you could refer to the recent interview with both Russell AND Billy Connolly, who mention this BS report. It’s not true. BTW: Caught Russell one night with a load of food in his car, passing it out to the homeless around skid row in LA. Just doing it without fanfare or agenda. Oh – that’s right, not newsworthy, is it? Why don’t you look up the Love X-Change where he mobilized 2500 people to donate no less than 4 hours their time to various charities? He did this in Los Angeles, where he now resides. There are more stories cropping up about random acts of kindness by Russell, almost weekly. When was your last random act of kindness?
