Okay. Now panic. Emma Watson, everyone’s favorite unattainable girl next door who can easily pull off short hair, could be cast as Anastasia Steele in 50 Shades of Grey. According to New York Daily News via Showbiz Spy via rumor mills all across America, she’s perfect for the part and is currently in talks for the role.
NYDN tells us that she has just the right essence to play the role of a young woman discovering her sexuality by way of someone else’s penis.
The actress is the hot favourite to be chosen by producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti. The 22-year-old is said to have the right looks for the part, combining a degree of innocence with the acting skills to portray the young graduate who gets swept into a world of sado-masochistic sex with a kinky billionaire, Christian Grey, reports showbizspy.com.
So yes, our sweet, precious Emma could soon be getting down and dirty in the BDSM thriller movie that 10% of college-aged girls will regrettably go see with their mothers in theaters in a tragic attempt to bond.
“Oh, this will be fun,” Sarah says to her mom, “We’ll go see 50 Shades of Grey together this afternoon. Now that we’re both adults, we can participate in fun activites like this together.”  Her mom will smile adoringly at her and silently brag to all her friends about the close relationship she shares with her daughter. “Wait ’til the book club hears about this,” she’ll mutter to herself as she changes her Facebook status to “my daughter is my best friend.”
And later on, after watching 2 hours of graphic sex scenes between Hermione Granger and an Unidentified Christian Grey, Sarah will shuffle out to the car and be unable to make eye contact with her mother, let alone, speak to her. The two will drive home in silence, trying to interpret what they just witnessed and why they chose to witness it together.
Within a few days, things will go back to normal. Until Sarah buys her first apartment years later and her mother brings over 50 shades of grey paint choices — and the nightmare of that movie viewing experience begins again.
