I haven’t slept since Boy Meets World went off the air in 2000. Sure, I catch a cat nap here and there. But the fact that Rider Strong left the show and never really made it kept me up at nights. Shawn Hunter went through so much on the show to just disappear into oblivion — and even worse than oblivion, movies like Cabin Fever 2.
However that neverending insomnia ends today, because Rider Strong is back and better than ever! He’s starring in the video Hooker Lawyer, a spoof of the popular USA Network shows that all revolve around successful suit-wearing professionals, like doctors, mediators, detectives and yes, lawyers.
Rider  plays a lawyer who represents hookers. Naturally. This is exactly the kind of job I always pictured Shawn Hunter getting. I’m sure it was Mr. Turner himself who gave him the hook-up. Because I always felt like Mr. Turner probably knew a lot of hookers, hookers who got into legal trouble. That’s just the kind of vibe he always gave off to me. In the same way Topanga gave off a martyr vibe by giving up Yale for Pembrooke, the town’s not-community-but-probably-community college.
In this series teaser for Hooker Lawyer, he  gives an inspirational speech about the hooker that lives inside all of us. It’s a tearjerker. Especially if you are a hooker lawyer. It goes without saying that I wish this was an actual show.
