Does It Ruin Maleficent For Knox And Vivienne Jolie-Pitt To Watch Mom Angelina Jolie On-Set?

Angelina Jolie Knox Vivienne Jolie-Pitt visit Maleficent set scary make believeFurther proving that she’s the coolest celebrity mom, Angelina Jolie brought her adorable twins Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt to the set of her new Disney film Maleficent. That’s Knox rocking the leather jacket at left; Vivienne wore a fuzzy panda jacket because they’re just sweet, well-dressed little angels like that. You can see more photos at the link above, including an adorable shot of Knox clapping his hands to his cheeks in the typical kid expression of HOLY SHIT AHHHH.

Celeb Dirty Laundry points out that it must be really fun for the twins to get to see how a movie is made, comparing it to the writer getting to walk through the Hogwarts set. But I wonder if it’s the opposite: As a little kid, don’t you want to be enticed by moviemaking magic? Sure, you want to see the illusion insofar as you can understand that your mom is not a horned sorceress who has it out for the pretty princess.

But if I were Knox and Vivienne’s age, I would want to believe in the movie for as long as possible. And shots of Angelina strung up in the harness kind of kills it. Like, imagine the kids going to preschool and telling all their friends, “Well, Maleficent can’t really fly!” Spoiler alert, dudes.

Sounds like you’re really over-thinking things and under-estimating what children can handle or understand. A lot of kids would be thrilled to see how movies happen, and would love to spend time with mom too. Watching movies be made is magical to many kids, I know I loved watching disney animators at work as a kid, or seeing behind the scenes things.
