So, let’s say you just finished reading every book in the illustrious Babysitter’s Club collection and you’re looking for something a little more racy. Might I recommend the novel Fifty Shades of Grey by Charles Dickens? (He writes under the pen name EL James, but rest assured it’s him.) It’s a wonderful peek into the enchanting world of medieval architecture and it how it impacted the peasant uprisings in Eastern Europe. Think Goosebumps, but scarier. There’s one fabulous chapter where a knight ties up a damsel and leaves her in “distress,” if you know what I mean.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book and I seriously advise you to drop whatever it is that you’re doing and buy it. And read it. And tell everyone that you’re reading it. Yes, one of the many perks of reading this novel is that you’re encouraged to talk about it with everyone you know. Even people you don’t know! Everyone who’s anyone will want to know how much you love it!
