I don’t know about you guys, but there always seems to be a villain in every television show, movie, book, story, life, etc. Villains are what make the stories exciting and dramatic. Even Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey has a villain and her name is Teresa Giudice. Everyone seems to be either hurt, saddened, or angry because of something Teresa did or didn’t do.
The concept of a 50/50 friendship seems to be lost on Teresa Giudice. She doesn’t seem to realize or understand who she hurts or how she hurts them. She is constantly talking about herself and her problems, but is never willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on when someone else is in trouble or pain. In this week’s episode of RHONJ, Teresa faces off against Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo. They all try (feebly) to reconcile, get their opinions out, and scream at each other. It ends in a screaming match and the end of a friendship, but before I get into the fight itself. I should probably clarify what led up to this blowout that seemed to go for hours since one minute the ladies were talking and it was light outside and the next it was pitch black. That just seems so emotionally exhausting.
Everyone somehow gets their hands on one of the new tabloids that is out. This one talks about how Teresa might have to serve jail time for “knowingly withholding assets, including a $250,000 advance for her Skinny Italian cookbook.” Uh oh, Teresa, what have you gone and got yourself into now? Basically, all the women are upset because their names get dragged through the mud because of these tabloid articles that (allegedly) Teresa plants and gets paid for. They all claim that it is none of their business how anyone makes a living, but when they start to be brought into it, that all changes.
