Remember That Time Thor Was On Game Of Thrones?

I love seeing how American culture gets translated into other languages, like this Chinese box art for the Game of Thrones season 2 DVDs. Rather than show us HBO’s hot fantasy show, everything looks rather sci-fi here. Like, is that an explosion? Oh, and Ned Stark is actually Thor.

My favorite part of this is that it’s not like someone just inserted The Avengers‘ Chris Hemsworth in here—no, they painstakingly Photoshopped Sean Bean‘s face onto the Marvel hero’s body, complete with his trusty hammer Mjolnir.

I mean, it’s not the hardest mistake to make: Ned Stark and Thor both have long blonde hair, and even their armor matches up a fair amount. So, whoever made this either doesn’t have their genre films and TV shows straight… or is straight up trolling us.

Also, the scene at the bottom might be from Game of Thrones, but it looks more like something from Battlestar Galactica or Prometheus. I love Chinese export DVDs.
