With the Harry Potter franchise over and The Twilight Saga coming to an end, our world will soon be full of sad fan fanatics. But you can soon stop re-watching the movies and re-reading all of the books, because come August 24th The Apparition hits theaters everywhere. This new paranormal thriller stars Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) teaming up together! Usually, when two franchises with this immense power come together, it can be a hit or a miss. And after watching the trailer, I can say that this movie will have fans from both worlds rejoicing.
The film features Tom Felton, as a ghost expert (donning super serious glasses in the trailer), who is trying to help the young couple, played by Ashley Greene and Sebastian Stan. This couple is being haunted by a spooky presence that was conjured up from a past university experiment. From the trailer, it seems that this is not your typical innocent Ouija board experiment, this presence is out with a vengeance.
Not only does this movie have the potential to satisfy fan fanatics cravings, but it can also allow Tom Felton to shake his Draco Malfoy, muggle-hating image. Not only does Tom Felton have the chance to grow as an actor, but Ashley Greene’s future career could gain new hope from this film. I don’t think these two worlds coming together will be able to surpass the new blockbuster hit, The Hunger Games, but my fingers are crossed for some sort of success. Because let’s be real, without Harry Potter and Twilight, we have the potential to enter a post-apocalyptic age with many angry and emotionally unstable fans creating trouble.
So hold onto your knickers or underwear (depending on where you are reading from) and watch the trailer below!
