Lindsay Lohan Could Not Remind Me Less Of Elizabeth Taylor, And Nobody Seems To Care

New pictures of Lindsay Lohan have just been released for her starring role in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick. Although there’s no word yet whether she’ll be appearing as Elizabeth Taylor or Richard Burton, she looks equally similar to both of them, so whatever the producers decide, it should be fine.

I kid, I kid. Clearly LiLo will be playing Elizabeth Taylor, I’m just…really not okay with it, and it’s because of my strong traditional values. I believe in a world where in order to play a celebrity in the movie version of their life, you must resemble them in some minimal way. Like hair color, eye color, skin tone, face shape, body shape, etc. (If we could even just pick one of those things. Or a new actress, just saying.) Just a few slight concerns that I guess are just wiped away by the magic of make-up, CGI, and blatant not caring on the part of the producers.

See, here’s a picture of the two twinsies. In case you can’t tell, that’s Elizabeth Taylor on the right looking classically beautiful, and that’s Lindsay Lohan on the left looking classically arrested.

Luckily, in this futuristic world of 2012, all you need to do to look like a celebrity is put on dresses that look like dresses they maybe would have worn, and watch a bunch of their movies and obsess over them until your probation requirements are over and you can actually start filming.

I’ll pass that advice along to all the Oscar winners who have done this before. In retrospect, someone should tell them they were working too hard with all that acting nonsense.

You know, I hadn’t really considered it until this moment–but that’s so true! She looks like a kid playing dress-up in Mommy’s closet.

According to your newly minted criteria for playing a celeb, I will be starring as Jon Hamm in his upcoming biopic. But who, alas, will play me at the point in the story at which he becomes my second husband?

      • Alexis Rhiannon

        Why, Elizabeth Taylor, of course!

What in the hell was the criteria when casting for this role?

“The chosen actress cannot physically resemble Elizabeth Taylor in any recognizable way: not in the body shape, height, face, hair, eyes, or mannerisms. And she must absolutely be a mediocre sub-par actress.”

maybe if they de-tan her snookie style and put a wig on her.
