Attention, Team Jacob! While Robert Pattinson is growing up his image with sex and violence vis-à-vis famed action director David Cronenberg, his former cast mate is going the infinitely classier route: parkour. Yes, as in that weird French hobby where they jump off of things and onto other things.
First popularized in America in the early ’00s by some impressive Youtube videos, parkour is defined by Wikipedia as “a physical discipline which focuses on efficient movement around obstacles.” You may also remember it from back when The Office was still good:
Taylor Lautner is set to star in a parkour-based action thriller called Tracers that will premiere at Cannes, and the description is everything you hoped it would be:
Lautner will play Cam, a messenger in New York City who is a wiz on a bike but who’s in debt to an organized crime gang. He crashes his bike into a sexy stranger and is seduced by her and the thrill of the world of parkour that she introduces him to.
As it turns out, Lautner already has some parkour experience; HuffPo points out that he used a bit of it in his recent flop Abduction (the parkour happens towards the end of this trailer):
Let’s hope that his films get exponentially better the more hot parkour action they contain.
